Stagg Pour Over Dripper

Step 1

Boil water in a kettle until it reaches 204°F.

Step 2

Place your paper filter in the top of the dripper, and set it on top of a carafe or mug. Rinse the filter by pouring a generous amount of water around It, and dump the water from the carafe. Place the dripper back onto your mug or carafe.

Step 3

Measure out 20 grams of coffee. Grind it on a medium setting.

Step 4

Pour your fresh grounds into the paper filter. Gently shake the dripper to even out the ground bed.

Step 5

Start your timer, and begin pouring your water.

Step 6

Let the coffee sit while it blooms. You will see the ground bed begin to rise.

Step 7

Once the timer reaches 40 seconds, begin pouring the water using slow, circler motions around the center of the ground bed until the timer reaches 1:45.

Step 8

Wait while the coffee draws down through the filter until there is no visible liquid left in the coffee grounds. Remove the dripper from your cup or carafe to discard the grounds and paper filter.

Step 9

Serve with cream and sugar!
