Walküre Brew Guide

Step 1

Rinse your Walküre with hot water to preheat it. Doing this prevents minimal loss of heat and minimize the fall-through of grounds through the porcelain filter as it brews.

Step 2

Add 20 grams of coffee ground to a medium to coarse grind similar to the texture of raw sugar. Give the brew chamber a little shake to even out the ground bed.

Step 3

Put you dispersion plate in place and zero out your scale with everything on it. Pre-wet your grounds with 50 ml of water, and wait 30 seconds before beginning your first pulse.

Step 4

Pour to fill the brew chamber. The circle of water on the will disperse onto the dispersion plate. Once this circle begins to tighten, the brew chamber has reached its capacity.

Step 5

Remove the dispersion plate. Gently stir the top of the slurry to ensure all the grounds are submerged. Replace the dispersion plate.

Step 6

Wait for 75% of the water to drain. You can check to see how much has drained by peeking under the dispersion plate. Do this until the scale reads 300ml to 320ml. Do this by refilling the brew chamber with water once 75% of it has drained. Your total brew time should be between 4:00-4:30
